The New Years Party
So, I decided to go to Manchester for new years eve this year after an invite from m4rsh, Just in case you are unaware of who m4rsh is, he is the owner of www.radioglitch.co.uk. It started off with myself sat at home at 4pm debating the 3 and half hour drive to Manchester I was in two minds of whether to go or not and as it rolled closer to 5 o clock I figured fuck it, and left.
The drive was to say the least the most boring drive I have ever done in my life. The only good part of the drive was the m6 toll road (by far the best motorway road in the uk) 2 things I would like to point out at this stage in the story about the drive 1, the roads are really quiet on new year’s eve 2, tom tom sat nav’s present you with a I can beat your estimated time challenge.
So, I turn up at m4rshes house after beating the tom tom’s time by 2hr, say hi to everyone and just as I sit down we are of out again to start the new year’s celebrations. I’ll admit now that when I got told about this event I wasn’t expecting too much of a party, it’s wrong of me I know but I was eating my own words when I got there. The place was massive.
After that it was just lots of drinking maybe a little dancing and a lot of awesome music. most of the night I was in the smaller room the first whole set I watched was rHyThMyK ill admit it’s not normally what I listen to but by the time he was playing I was 4 cans of cider happier and willing to listen to anything and I’m glad I did it was awesome. Then everyone had to fall into the larger room for the midnight countdown, we got that out the way then back to the smaller room for M4rshes set, all I can say about that is that if you listen to him on radio glitch you would have been impressed to see it live. Try as we did myself and squeeb (tech guy on radio glitch) we hurling abuse at the poor lad whilst he was djing but he was a focused lad and nothing was stopping him. Well, until the women came to the decks anyway 
After that the night became a bit f a blur and people started to leave, the last few hours was just a small handful of people all sat round a table having a long drunken chat until the taxi arrived at 9am to take us back to M4rshes house. 4hrs later I’m back on the m6 ready for home and a really long sleep.
One thing I noticed about the gig that is worth talking about here are
Everyone at the gig was very friendly, all said hello and tried to make everyone as welcome as they could.
On that note thanks to everyone that said hi and I hope all of you had just as much fun as I did at the gig. Finally thanks to M4rsh for the invite, top night fella.
