Review #23 Of Guitar Scratch

where will you take this.
Nice breakbeat but the intro would suffice at about 30 seconds in.
the melody on the guitar/synth is very pretty. BUT at 210 I literally said “is this song going to go anywhere” the answer at 339 is deemed a negative. Don’t get me wrong, you have some nice riffs and melodies going here but it feels repetitive and incomplete.
This HAS potential to be gorgeous..

Review #22 Of Guitar Scratch

very particular
breack beat and electronics are meeting here…
I like the strings, I like the ambiance coming out of this.

You can, if you want, try to records a bass keyboard to make it heavier for a breack…
Very good !

Review #21 Of Guitar Scratch

repetative
The drumbeat throughout this song is very repetative. I would have also liked to have heard some instruments come in sooner than they did. I like the scratching, thats always a plus when done right, and you pulled that off very well. I just can’t say I am a fan of the song overall.

Review #20 Of Guitar Scratch

mixman? sampler. cheap.
I know those beats. that’s a commercial sample. i used to own that track. (maybe you’re the original artist) i seem to recall that beat from a compilation album a few years back. maybe it’s a mixman loop.

ok, so the sampled break is good, almost a minute of it is a bit much though.

cool string/harp-like synth melody, there. that’s interesting. the subs need to be a bit louder.

the scratching is a nice touch. by 1:45 i’m wishing there were more to this. the scratching does keep me listening, though.

Review #19 Of Guitar Scratch

funky
Like the interplay between the opening drums and the metallic hit. Very funky. It goes on a bit long, though. Maybe shave ten seconds or so from it. Love the introduction of the scratching sounds. Each new rhythmic element is interesting. The problem is, at some point it gets monotonous because all of the musical elements have already been added by 1:25 or so and the rest of the piece is really just a lot of (very) minor variations on the same theme.

this is really generic, i dont know you could have done more to your prog instead of focusing so much on the beat focus more on adding effects. the loops are obvious over the beat.

Review #17 Of Guitar Scratch

Simple & sort of effective
Right in there with the drums and bass… kind of like the breakdown in a DnB track…

Guitar is a wee bit too produced and “clean” for my tastes.

Like the scratching - doesn’t overtake the other sounds.

Quite a simple track really, not my cup of tea, but quite good…

Review #16 Of Guitar Scratch

Hot.
Very cool beat you have going here.
Sounds like an intensely chopped up loop.
Pretty tight. nice work there.
I really like the guitar that comes in. It realy grabs my interest. It cuts right through, like a knife.
I was actualy stunned when it came in.
The guitar sounds great with the beat.
The DJ scratching sounds really hot too.
The only problem I have with this song is in the repitition. It gets a little borring after the same thing is looped a bunch of times.
The song parts are so cool and interesting that it isn’t that bad though. This has a really cool feel to it.
I can hear the work that went into programing/cutting up the samples/loops/
I just think it could use more of a melody and less repitition.
Very cool.

Review #15 Of Guitar Scratch

Lovin’ that funky drummer!
Hey, I love that funky drum-loop
at beginning of tune…However, I
would cut off maybe just 4 or 8 bars of beginning before you start
building so that you don’t get tired of a great thing…Scratching efx are very original and add nice depth to this rhythmic piece…I would also
like to hear some type of bridge or at least a subtraction of “funky-drummer” loop in middle of tune…I like the execution of guitar synth through-out mix. The
tune definately has its own character and feel…It just needs those break-downs and/or different parts to keep it at that ecstatic level it has in first min…All levels are mixed nice and even…Please let me know if/when you remix this as I would love to hear where you take it!
