Ableton Live 7
Live offers two main views—the Session View and the Arrangement View—that interact in a powerful and unique way, allowing you to create, produce and perform your music all in a single application. Here is the principle behind each view:Session View

Live’s unique Session View acts as a powerful musical sketch and launch pad, allowing you to try out new ideas easily and improvise freely. Each cell in the Session View grid can hold a recording, MIDI file, or any other musical idea. These ideas can be recorded on the fly or dragged in from the Browser and played in any order and at any time you wish.
Arrangement View

The Arrangement View offers a timeline-based approach for traditional multitrack recording, MIDI sequencing and other music production tasks. You can even improvise in the Session View, and all of your actions will be recorded into the Arrangement View, where they can be edited whenever you like.

Technikal Alliance
I have recently joined a new group involving a good friend Monoform heres our opening bit:
Monoform and Slotvent, both friends who met on the net in 2005, have now joined forces to create ‘The Technikal Alliance’. This group is mainly Music Production based but will also be involving Media Production too (TA Media - e.g. Game Soundscapes, TV Program tracks, etc.)
They both Produce, remix, collaborate and DJ, a group with multiple elements and strong foundation.
So far they have both been solo artists for several years, Monoform has been producing/remixing Drum and Bass and Hip Hop since 2002, and a DJ since 2000. Signed with 3 record labels, his experience and skills are well founded and are an essential element to the group.
Slotvent has also been producing for several years, with 2 tracks already sold and contracted to Sky’s X-Games, other TV programs (and more to come very soon), as well as a built up collection of his own tracks. Also a DJ, Slotvent has performed various nights in clubs/bars around the UK.
Now the battle commences, so watch this space for more updates and demo tracks soon….If you wish to contact ‘The Technikal Alliance’ for event hire, collaborations or remixes, please send us a message.
Until then, Peace!!!…..
