I know that Ebay has a really good population but at the same time i know there are a lot of idiots on the site to. I have never really sold any items on ebay before, but i was intrested to see how much i could sell some of my 3,000+ DVD collection. I started with just 5 or 6 and they all sold really easy apart from one. The guy buying this particular DVD was called (mad_for_dvds). With a name like that you would think that he would be quite good a using Paypal, well ill stop you there. He aint.
Everything seemed to go really well untill the day that i noticed there was no payment from him. I decided to send him an email asking for the payment and also stating if i dont recieve this in 24hrs i will sell the item to the next highest bidder. 2 days passed and still no money. I decided to do what i has stated in the email and sell the item on and at the same time cancel the order with him and clearly stated the reason as:
“Failure to pay”
A few hours later i had an email from paypal that he had paid. Even after telling him i no longer have the item. I emailed him to find out what was going on and i got this back:
Hi, I’m sorry but your listing and Invoice never stated a deadline for payment, 7 days is the general consensus on eBay unless the seller states otherwise. Please arrange to complete the sale or I will have no choice other than to leave appropriate feedback and reporting the issue to ebay. If you were desperate for payment you should have emailed me. I have traded on eBay for 8 years and have 100% rating payment would not have been an issue, regards, Adrian

I dont honestly know what this guy is thinking but he was told before he paid that there was no item and he still paid, then he goes on about threats. I dunno some people get really ruffeled really quick dont they.
All i can say to this is, If you have this guy making a purchase from you then dont expect a quick payment it could take upto 7 days.
