Slotvent

Im a grown man and yet i cant get enough of facebook at the moment, what started of as yet another site to promote my music has now become a small but entertaing addiction to the site. The applications are great and for the first time today i checked my Testimonials to see what people have written and here is the results

Thanks again to all that wrote one.

Its that time again where i like to type my name into google and see what comes up in the results as in the past i have had people creating profiles on myspace using my name and music ect and i like to keep a check on these things. But today i noticed that when i google slotvent im no longer top of the pops in the search results and that im actually being beaten by a double glazing website, this is slightly annoying

Well, i cant complain because thats where my name comes from ( yes that right ) it originated from a window vent that i thought said steve but in fact it said slotvent and from that day on people i knew started calling me it.

I will be doing the same next week to see if this is a regular thing.

I was just wondering whether or not it would be worth having a download section for the mixes i do. I have a stack of mixes on my pc and i was not sure whether or not its actually worth putting them on the site for download as there are so many different sites offering mixes for download. If i can find out who or how many would actually download the music from my site and if the number is high enough then i will start the download section as soon as i can.

I play from 8 till 10 pm gmt time and straight after that is a new guy on the block called Neek who also plays drum and bass, so if you get there at 8 you will have 4 hours of drum and bass played live on Radio Glitch.

Wow how time flys when you know you have a gig coming up, We have sent out invites on all the major sites now and things surley are looking good from here. This is our first gig that we have organized our selfs and granted we have had some issues on the way but everything looks set to go and now its just the wait for the day to show up and rock the club in our own style.

Its going to be a good mix of drum and bass in room 1 and house and breaks in room 2.

The only thing left is to sort out the radio side of things so we can broadcast the gig live on radio glitch, at this time i would like to say a thanks to m4rsh for agreeing to stream the event.

Right, today is not a good day for me as i just woke up to find that i’m sicker than a dog and a day off work was required. This couldnt have come at a better time with the gig coming up soon and all sorts of stuff happening in the next week or to. So for me its gonna be a case of hitting the max strength pills, lots of water and pretty much nothing else.

So, long story short don’t expect any music or anything to productive out of me for the next couple of days, but i promise that the moment that im better i will strt on a new track or too, to make up for the misery of my cold and make everyone feel better.

Well the last year is now over and ive added up all the awards i have won on garageband.

Within 2 days of putting my track on garageband.com the song yess boss has already made it to track of the day

First of, thanks for all that listened to my play last night. What a fun night it was to, if you were listening you may have noticed that there were a few errors in the mixing. This is because i have busted my thumb on the hand that i mix with.

Saying that the set went really well i tried to mix things up a little last night with some party classics, some white label mixes and the good old neuro that i normally play.

So all in a good night of 2 and a half hours of drum and bass. dont forget to come by next thursday from 8pm-10pm on www.radioglitch.co.uk and also stay tuned after for a new kid on the block called neek who will be carrying on with the dark drum and bass untill 12

So, I decided to go to Manchester for new years eve this year after an invite from m4rsh, Just in case you are unaware of who m4rsh is, he is the owner of www.radioglitch.co.uk. It started off with myself sat at home at 4pm debating the 3 and half hour drive to Manchester I was in two minds of whether to go or not and as it rolled closer to 5 o clock I figured fuck it, and left.

The drive was to say the least the most boring drive I have ever done in my life. The only good part of the drive was the m6 toll road (by far the best motorway road in the uk) 2 things I would like to point out at this stage in the story about the drive 1, the roads are really quiet on new year’s eve 2, tom tom sat nav’s present you with a I can beat your estimated time challenge.

So, I turn up at m4rshes house after beating the tom tom’s time by 2hr, say hi to everyone and just as I sit down we are of out again to start the new year’s celebrations. I’ll admit now that when I got told about this event I wasn’t expecting too much of a party, it’s wrong of me I know but I was eating my own words when I got there. The place was massive.

After that it was just lots of drinking maybe a little dancing and a lot of awesome music. most of the night I was in the smaller room the first whole set I watched was rHyThMyK ill admit it’s not normally what I listen to but by the time he was playing I was 4 cans of cider happier and willing to listen to anything and I’m glad I did it was awesome. Then everyone had to fall into the larger room for the midnight countdown, we got that out the way then back to the smaller room for M4rshes set, all I can say about that is that if you listen to him on radio glitch you would have been impressed to see it live. Try as we did myself and squeeb (tech guy on radio glitch) we hurling abuse at the poor lad whilst he was djing but he was a focused lad and nothing was stopping him. Well, until the women came to the decks anyway

After that the night became a bit f a blur and people started to leave, the last few hours was just a small handful of people all sat round a table having a long drunken chat until the taxi arrived at 9am to take us back to M4rshes house. 4hrs later I’m back on the m6 ready for home and a really long sleep.

One thing I noticed about the gig that is worth talking about here are

Everyone at the gig was very friendly, all said hello and tried to make everyone as welcome as they could.

On that note thanks to everyone that said hi and I hope all of you had just as much fun as I did at the gig. Finally thanks to M4rsh for the invite, top night fella.
